In the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan's daily crude oil production averaged 480,000 barrels, marking a 2.1% increase compared to 2024's figures, APA-Economics reports citing a report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the U.S. Department of Energy.
According to the report, the same figure in the first quarter of last year was 470,000 barrels.
The document also mentions that last year, Azerbaijan's daily oil production averaged 480,000 barrels.
It is noted that the "OPEC+" countries (a coalition of OPEC and non-OPEC oil-producing nations) had an average daily crude oil production of 35.43 million barrels, of which 21.41 million barrels belonged to OPEC, and 14.01 million barrels were produced by non-OPEC countries participating in the agreement. In the first quarter of last year, these figures were 36.3 million barrels, 21.63 million barrels, and 14.66 million barrels, respectively.
Note that Azerbaijan is a participant in the OPEC+ agreement.
