The minor children of a Ukrainian citizen temporarily residing in Azerbaijan, who had been placed in a children's home in Denmark, have been returned, this was reflected in the 2024 report of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, discussed at today's meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
It was noted that the applicant, a Ukrainian citizen M. temporarily residing in Azerbaijan, appealed to the Ombudsman, requesting assistance in taking measures to return her minor children, who had been placed in a children's home in Denmark due to a violation of rights, to the Republic of Azerbaijan. As a result of the Ombudsman's intervention and the measures taken in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Housing, and Senior Citizens the children were returned to their family.
