A delegation led by Istanbul Chief Prosecutor Akın Gürlek visited Baku on a working visit on January 30-31 at the invitation of Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor General's Office told APA.
The delegation first visited the Alley of Honor, where they paid their respects to the memory of our National Leader, the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and also visited the grave of the prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva. At the Alley of Martyrs, the guests paid tribute to the memory of the heroic sons of the motherland who fell for the independence of Azerbaijan, placing wreaths on their graves. Additionally, the "Turkish Martyrs' Memorial," erected in honor of Turkish soldiers who died for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, was also visited.
Later, a bilateral meeting was held at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Prosecutor General emphasized that under the attention and care of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief and the First Vice President of our country, Mehriban Aliyeva, rapid restoration and reconstruction works are being carried out in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, with Turkish companies closely participating in these efforts.
