On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the professional holiday of its employees, a ceremonial meeting was held in the administrative building of the Ministry, Azerbaijani MES told APA.
Under the leadership of the Minister of Emergency Situations, colonel-general Kamaladdin Heydarov, the team of the Ministry came to the Alley of Honor and paid tribute to the dear memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and laid wreaths and flowers in front of his grave. The memory of prominent ophthalmologist scientist, and academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also commemorated, and flowers were laid on her grave.
The meeting that is held in the administrative building of the Ministry of Emergency Situationsç started with the playing of the State anthem. The memory of our martyrs who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov delivering a speech at the meeting congratulated staff on the occasion of the second anniversary of the great historical Victory gained in the 44 days of the Patriotic War, at the same time on the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and professional holiday and wished success.
