"Important decisions will soon be adopted by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the protection of citizens’ constitutional rights such as the inviolability of private life, personal and family secrets, "said Member of the Judicial-Legal Council, Sanan Hajiyev at the opening ceremony of the Forum themed “Social Processes in the Media Landscape,” organized by MEDIA, APA reports.
He stated that although some attention is paid to the protection of individuals’ honor and dignity in the media space, unfortunately, the situation regarding the protection of citizens’ constitutional rights such as the inviolability of private life and personal and family secrets is not satisfactory: “In particular, illegal interference with these rights has become common practice in television programs. Taking these issues into account, the adoption of important decisions by the Supreme Court in the near future is planned in order to implement appropriate legal regulation in this direction.”
