Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov has met a group of delegation of officers from the State of Qatar, who participated in the professional development course at the Academy of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan (MES), APA reports.
Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Azerbaijan Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Abdullah Al Hinzab aslo attended the event.
Sincerely greeting the guests, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov gave detailed information about the activity areas of the MES, as well as works being done in the direction of preventing and eliminating the consequences of emergencies in Azerbaijan. In this framework, proudly noting that under the wise leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, the glorious Army of Azerbaijan liberated its ancestral lands occupied by Armenia for nearly 30 years, and restored Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, the minister talked about the demining activities carried out by the forces of the MES in the territories liberated from occupation.
Highlighting the close cooperation between Azerbaijan-Qatar, the minister emphasized that the relations are developing rapidly thanks to the wise foresight of the leaders of the both countries. Minister reported on the activities of Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Qatar which he co-chairs.
Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Azerbaijan Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Abdullah Al Hinzab conveyed his congratulations on the upcoming Independence Day of Azerbaijan.
The ambassador stressed that he is sure that Qatari officers have acquired rich knowledge in the professional development course at the Academy of the MES, and thanked for creating such an opportunity.
Afterwards, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov presented certificates to the Qatari officers who successfully completed the International Course on "Emergency Management".
