The Azerbaijan U-15 national football team opened the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Baku in a commanding fashion as they beat Timor-Leste 6–0 on Saturday, APA reports.
Azerbaijan took complete control of the match, with double strikes from Mushfig Zamanov and Hasan Mahmadov setting the tone before Yusif Alizada and Asif Allahverdizada also found the net to cap off a flawless opening performance at the Baky Crystal Hall.
The national team will play their next match against Andorra on October 24.
The first matches of the tournament kicked off on October 23. The inaugural tournament brings together young football talents from 189 FIFA member associations in Baku.
