Eco-activists and representatives of NGOs are continuing the action in the city of Shusha - on the Lachin-Khankendi road, in protest against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, especially the Kizybulag gold and Demirli copper-molybdenum deposits, in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, APA's correspondent reports from the scene.
The participants of the action continue their protests on the last day of 2022, December 31, the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
The protesters chanting different slogans started the day by singing the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that since December 12, Azerbaijani eco-activists and public representatives have been holding a protest near the post of peacekeepers. The main demands of the protesters are the arrival of RSC commander Andrey Volkov, the creation of necessary conditions for monitoring by Azerbaijani experts, and an end to environmental terrorism on Azerbaijani lands.
