"We have started laboratory work in the Azikh Cave," said researcher Ajdar Babazade from the Archaeology Department of the Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) during the panel discussion on "Protection of Ancient Human Settlements", APA reports.
He noted that cleaning and the preparation of digital images are being carried out in the Azikh Cave: "Currently, laboratory and archaeological work is ongoing in the cave. One of the main issues is the cleaning process after the occupation."
Notably, an international scientific-practical conference titled 'Protection of Ancient Human Settlements: Threats and Modern Approaches' is being held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
