According to the information provided by the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, this year the first day of the month of Shawwal, Ramadan holiday coincides with March 30th in the Gregorian calendar, said Sheikh ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade in his congratulatory message to the people on the occasion of Ramadan holiday, APA reports.
He noted that one of the important acts of fasting, the Zakat al-Fitr, is due on the last day of Ramadan – after the Maghrib prayer on the evening of the holiday.
It was also mentioned that Eid prayers will be held in all mosques of Azerbaijan, InshaAllah. In Baku, the Eid prayer at the Ejderbey Mosque is scheduled for 08:00, and at the Tazapir Mosque, it is set for 09:00, the statement said.
