To date, 185 families (664 individuals) who had been temporarily settled in homes belonging to other citizens have been relocated to the liberated territories, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons said in response to APA's inquiry.
It was noted that restoration and reconstruction work in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur is rapidly continuing: “Former internally displaced persons who were temporarily housed in emergency and difficult conditions, in various temporary settlement facilities such as dormitories, sanatoriums, unfinished buildings, as well as in apartments belonging to others, are first resettled in the liberated territories. Until today, 185 families (664 people) temporarily settled in apartments owned by other citizens have been relocated to the liberated territories. We inform that former internally displaced persons are provided permanent housing only in the city, district, village, or settlement where they are registered.”
