Within the framework of the project achieving superior quality and supporting changes in the pomegranate value chain (STEP) funded by the EU, 83 hectares of pomegranate orchards were planted in 4 districts of Azerbaijan’s Aran region, said the Head of the Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Victor Bojkov, APA reports.
Notably, 2,120 small pomegranate producers from more than 100 communities in Ujar, Goychay, Kurdamir, Hajigabul, Saatli, Sabirabad, and Imishli districts achieved productivity increase as a result of intensive agricultural training and field consulting services.
