The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ayxan Hacızadeh, commented on the unfounded claims made by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a press conference with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Seyed Abbas Araghchi, APA reports, citing Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

It was noted that the claims made by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on March 25, 2025, regarding Azerbaijan allegedly putting forward new conditions after an agreement was reached on the text of the peace treaty are completely unfounded:

"It is well known to the Armenian Foreign Minister that the removal of the provisions in Armenia's Constitution regarding Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the official dissolution of the Minsk Group, have been key topics in the negotiation process over the last two and a half years.

Facts regarding Armenia’s territorial claims against Azerbaijan in its Constitution, national legislation, court claims, and political statements were presented to the Armenian side during the Washington meeting in May 2023. Third countries are fully aware of this as well.

Considering the above, the claims by Armenia that Azerbaijan has supposedly put forward new conditions are aimed at confusing the international community, and this tactic will not yield any results.

If Armenia is interested in signing the peace treaty, it must amend its Constitution without delay, abandon territorial claims against Azerbaijan, and must not avoid cooperating in the official dissolution of the Minsk Group."
