Azerbaijan determines concessions for passengers due to changes in flight schedules

Concessions for passengers due to changes in flight schedules have been determined, this is reflected in the "Rules for the Implementation of Commercial Air Transport, Passenger, Baggage, Cargo, and Mail Transportation by Air," approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

According to the decision, if changes are made to transportation due to flight schedule changes (except in cases of force majeure) during the period when the carrier is unable to transport the passenger on the route specified in the ticket, the carrier must organize the following services for passengers free of charge::

- Access to mother-and-child rooms for passengers with children under the age of 7;

- If the flight is delayed by more than 2 hours, the opportunity to make 2 phone calls or send 2 emails, along with the provision of soft drinks;

- If the flight is delayed for more than 6 hours during the day or more than 8 hours at night, passengers must be provided with a hot meal;

- Accommodation in a hotel if the flight is delayed for more than 8 hours;

- Free transportation between the airport and the hotel if hotel accommodation is provided without additional charges;

- Organization of baggage storage.

The carrier or service provider may offer additional paid services with higher comfort. Children under the age of 5 can only be transported with an accompanying adult. The transportation of children aged 5 to 18 is regulated according to the carrier's rules.
