The Ramadan holiday is celebrated in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
This year, the 1st day of Ramadan coincided with March 1 in the Gregorian calendar. According to the information provided by the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, this year, the Ramadan holiday coincides with March 30 in the Gregorian calendar.
It is recommended to give zakat al-fitr in the amount of 10-15 azn per person.
Holiday prayers will be performed in all mosques across Azerbaijan. In Baku, the time for the holiday prayer at Ajdarbay Mosque is set at 08:00, while at Tazapir Mosque, it is scheduled for 09:00.
This year, March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 have been declared non-working days for Novruz and Ramadan holidays.
