Rules defined for allowing the continuation of flights after landing an aircraft violating flight regulations, this is reflected in the "Rules for permitting the continuation of a flight after landing an aircraft violating flight regulations and clarifying the causes of the violation," approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, in accordance with Article 8.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Aviation," APA reports.
According to the decision, an aircraft crossing the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan without the required permits, violating flight regulations over the state border, or otherwise breaching the rules of using Azerbaijan's airspace, may be forcibly landed at the request of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in accordance with the requirements of Article 56.5 of the Law.
After the aircraft is landed, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan immediately informs the permanent commission responsible for investigating aviation incidents and accidents, as stipulated in Article 17.1 of the Law.
The causes of the violations specified in Clause 2.1 of these Rules are investigated by the permanent commission within 15 business days.
If signs of a criminal offense defined by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan are identified in the act (action or inaction) related to the violation, the collected documents (information) are sent to the relevant law enforcement agency for necessary measures.
