In 2021, there were 1,536 victims of domestic violence in registered criminal cases, according to the report of State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Problems, for 2021, discussed at the meeting of Committee on family, women and children issues of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
It was noted that 205 of them are women. 1150 of victims were injured. The number of the women died due to domestic violence was 46, 44 of them were victims of the crime of intentional homicide (articles 120-122 of the Criminal Code), and 2 of them were the victims of the crime of intentional serious harm to health.
