Moscow. Farid Akbarov - APA. The Russian Federation Council has confirmed the draft law on labor migrants, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports. According to the new law, the migrants coming to Russia for work will take an exam on Russian.
The law will be applied to the migrants working for housing maintenance and utilities and retailers. Their knowledge of Russian will be examined, those passing the exam will get certificates. Work permission will be given to the migrants basing on the certificate.
The new law will come into force on December 1 after having been confirmed by Russian President.
