APA reports quoting the official website of the Ministry that the number of pupils went to the first form in Azerbaijan last year was 125408. This figure was 120032 in 2010-2011.
36102 pupils are expected to go to the first forms in Baku. This figure was 35509 last year.
According to the relevant rules approved by the Ministry’s order, 6 year-old children, mentally and physically healthy, are admitted to generally educational schools in Azerbaijan till September 15 every year. In exception, some capable children, who will be 6 year-old in late October, can be admitted to the first forms in advance according to the decision of special commission. The process admission of especially capably children, who will be 6 year-old in late November, must be examined by the relevant commission established by the Education Ministry from the beginning of August till September 10.
