Heydar Aliyev Foundation presents “Mini information laboratory” to Azerbaijan’s Blind People Society -<font color=red> PHOTO</font>

The Foundation told APA that the “Mini information laboratory” includes special computer tables, the computer complexes, specially created system for blind people in order to help them to receive and to send different types of information.

With the help of equipment presented to Blind People Society by Heydar Aliyev Foundation such as Jawes For Windows audio-program package, Pearl camera-scanner, the machine for aloud reading, big stapler for fastening thick lists of Braille lettering in the copybook form it’s possible to use the manuals and with the help of audio-programs it’s possible to read different types of information.

A year ago Heydar Aliyev Foundation took the initiative to bring modern technology for blind people to Azerbaijan. The cooperation agreement was signed on provision of the blind and people with sight problems with modern technology by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and within UN Cooperation Program in 2005.

The program serves for the integration of blind people into society, for extension of possibility of obtaining knowledge and information by information-communication means. Special printing house was established under the boarding school for blind children people on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The manuals on the base of Braille lettering and teaching means are printed there.
