Baku. Sevil Zeynalgizi – APA. “Tomorrow will be the hottest day of July month this year”, senior hydrologist of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Asif Verdiyev told APA. According to him, though 34…38 C temperature is forecasted in Baku and Absheron peninsula, 40 C in some places of peninsula tomorrow, it is not considered as abnormal heat: “In general, the climatic conditions are near normal this year. Tomorrow will be the hottest day of July. Such heats are not forecasted in subsequent days”.

Senior hydrologist said that the hottest years in Baku over the last 20 years were 2010, 2011, the coolest years – 1993 and 2004: “The abnormal heats were recorded in Azerbaijan in 2010. 40… 41 C was recorded in Baku on July 11-12, 42… 43 C in some regions of the Central Aran, 44 C in Julfa. The strong heats were recorded in the country last year from the third ten days of July till August 3. 40 C was recorded in Baku in July 22 last year.
