Seminar on â€œSupport to readmission and returnâ€ held on initiative of State Migration Service

APA reports that besides SMS employees, foreign experts and representatives of the other law-enforcement bodies participated in the seminar.

Chief of the main office on migration policy and legal provision of the State Migration Service Vahid Gahramanov made a speech at the event and noted that 2 events have been held within the project up to now. According to him, legislation base in migration sphere was established in Azerbaijan and the project of the Migration Code has been already developed and is in process of agreement with relevant organizations. Gahramanov said that struggle against illegal migration was actual issue in Azerbaijan and he also spoke about the works carried out with the EU in formation of the migration legislation.

Adviser on political affairs to the EU representation in Azerbaijan, Andrey Valentinov noted that the EU plans to implement Twinning Project in migration sphere in Azerbaijan. Speaking about the migration stream to Azerbaijan, Valentinov underlined the importance of the regulation of process in this sphere.

Then various experts delivered reports. The seminar will last 3 days.
