Azerbaijan to fine persons, who throw waste off-rubbish bins

According to amendments made to law on ‘Industrial and household waste’, domestic waste must be disposed to ash-bins.
At the same time, according to changes made in the Code of Administrative Offences, For throwing and storage of household waste beyond the places allocated for that the individuals will be fined for AZN 20, officials- for AZN 100, legal entities- for AZN 500. For ignoration of distances provided by the law when placing rubbish containers (boxes) in the cities and administrative centers (except urban areas) the officials will be fined for AZN 500 and legal entities for AZN 1.000.
City and regional executive power bodies should determine the level of demand for ash-bins in their territories within 6 months and submit the relevant information to the Presidential Administration. The cabinet of Ministers must organize this process in a centralized way.
