According to her, it is a scientific issue: “These exams have two different purposes. Our purpose is to increase the level of secondary schools so that we can admit the children to the higher education establishments on the basis of attestation exams. Nowadays children, who got “3” mark, are not able to study in the higher education establishments. First of all, we can approach the content and the degree of complexity of these exams. We can reduce the number of subjects in the entrance exams. May be we will reduce one subject in the next few years. One of Native Language and Mathematics subjects can be reduced. But we need a time for it”.

The SSAC chairwoman said that 5-year program was prepared in Kazakhstan for uniting these exams. There is another other experience in Russia: “I don’t say that Russia’s program is positive. The shortcomings of Russian exam are discussed everywhere. Both positive and negative practices have a positive effect on our steps.
The SSAC has 20-yea experience in this sphere. Our model is applied in the world. It is a really serious science. I am very glad that there is “Monitoring and evaluation” specialty in master’s degree program in two higher education establishments. I want to address the rectors to pay attention to the teachers in these faculties. I would like to work with these magisters. Unfortunately, there aren’t such specialists in the Institute of Educational Problems and corresponding body of the Education Ministry. Holding an office and being a specialist are the absolutely different things”.
