125 114 become first grade pupils in Azerbaijan

170 000 teachers will be involved in their education, press service of the Ministry of Education told APA. 125 114 children are expected to become first grade pupils this year. This figure was 119 600 in 2008-2009.

110 670 students will get education in 37 public universities and 19 690 in private ones this year. 12 450 professors were involved in the staff of public universities and 1 960 - in the private universities.

The Baku Education Office told APA that totally 328 000 pupils are expected to attend 326 schools in Baku. There will be 29500 first grade pupils in the schools of Baku this year.
