European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Azerbaijan and Armenia on July 1-2, said European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho during a briefing in Brussels, APA reports.
According to her, the purpose of the visit is “to express Europe's support.”
“The President of the European Commission will discuss the peaceful settlement process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the EU's investments in their transport infrastructure, with the aim of turning the two countries into a corridor from Central Asia to Europe,” the EU official said.
