Armenia is not considering leaving the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

According to him, Razmik Khumaryan, the authorized representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CIS legislative and other bodies, visited Moscow today, participated in the meeting of the CIS Economic Council, and signed several documents.

Lebedev expressed hope that the situation in Armenia would stabilize after the parliamentary elections.

“I think there are prerequisites for this, because Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that he currently does not intend to withdraw the country from the Eurasian Economic Union. As for leaving the CIS, that is not being discussed at all. They will remain within the organization,” the Secretary General stressed.
