More than 400 000 applicants attended SSAC examinations in April-August

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. â€œ400 000 applicants have taken admission examinations held by the State Commission since April. At first more than 180 000 young people took test examinations. More than 170 000 applicants attend Master Programâ€™s examinations, examinations on Azerbaijani language for Russian-speaking people, as well as admission examinations to high and vocational schoolsâ€, said Chairperson of the State Student Admission Commission (SSAC) Maleyka Abbaszadeh at a press conference held on the end of high school admission campaign for academic year 2009-2010. She said this year admission examinations based on IT technologies. â€œMore than 200 000 students made first independent steps via Internet and e-Azerbaijan State Program was implemented completelyâ€.

107 347 applicants attended the admission examinations this year. 97006 of them applied in Azerbaijani and 10341 â€“ in Russian sectors. 28 498 applicants were enrolled to the high schools.

SSAC chairperson said they would analyze scientific-methodical results of the examinations in September. The scientific-methodical workshop on next yearâ€™s admission will begin on October 1. SSAC is working on five projects to be submitted in the admission examinations in academic year 2010-2011.
