Spokeswoman for Baku Education Office Zamina Aligizi told APA the office made decision about the single school uniform. At first Baku schools and then regional schools will pass to the single uniforms. â€œThere are 360 thousand of pupils in the secondary schools of Baku. The factory we have a contract with didnâ€™t manage to prepare uniforms for all children. We ordered the secondary schools to wear last yearâ€™s uniforms. The secondary schools in some districts of Baku could pass to the single uniforms throughout a yearâ€.

Aligizi said the Baku Education Office chose separate uniforms for I-IV classes and single uniforms for V-XI classes. â€œGirls in the primary schools will wear white shirt and cornelian tunic and boys â€“ black trousers, white shirt and cornelian waistcoat. The high classes will have more serious dresses. They will wear suits. We didnâ€™t specify its color yet. We ordered several models and will choose one of them. The Baku schools will completely pass to the single uniforms in 2010-2011 academic yearâ€.

The spokeswoman said the office ordered to school principals not to buy new uniforms this year. â€œIt doesnâ€™t need to buy uniforms for first grade pupils this year because it will be changed. It is enough to clothe them accuratelyâ€.
