Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. 4,256,600 copies of 87 kinds of textbooks and teacher’s manuals have been published in Azerbaijani and Russian for the 2nd and 5th-11th forms of Azerbaijani secondary schools. Director of Education Ministry’s textbook and publishing department Faig Shahbazli told APA that the list includes 1,112,500 copies of 40 kinds of textbooks and teacher’s manuals for the 2nd forms, 3,144,100 copies of 47 kinds of textbooks for the 5th – 11th forms.
Shahbazli said the textbooks were published after being assessed by the Council for Assessing Textbooks.
Faig Shahbazli noted that textbooks would also be sent for the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia, Dagestan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Department director said publishing of pirate books was prevented in Azerbaijan.
