Russia has expanded restrictions on imports of fish products from Armenia, Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) told TASS.
The certification of products from two more Armenian enterprises has been temporarily suspended until previously identified violations are eliminated.
As a result, Russia has halted imports of all fish products from Armenia.
Note that imports of fish from Armenia to Russia have been banned since June 2. According to the agency, most local companies engaged in exporting fish to Russia either failed inspections or refused to undergo them, therefore their certification was suspended until the violations are addressed.
Recall hat Russia had previously banned the import and sale of fruit and vegetables, flowers, several types of cognac and wine, as well as "Jermuk" mineral water from Armenia.
