Azerbaijan-Africa expedition studied biodiversity on every climatic zone on its way to Uhuru Peak

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. The Azerbaijan-Africa expedition studied the biodiversity on every climatic zone on its way to Uhuru Peak on Kilimanjaro. APA reports quoting the official website of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry that the members of the expedition gathered unique photo and video materials about birds, mammals, animals and entomofauna. They studied underground rocks of the Kibo volcano, valuable biological samples, made meteorological and geological observations.

The first Azerbaijan-Africa expedition is returning to Azerbaijan. The members of the expedition successfully finished their scientific work.

The expedition led by Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Minister, President of Air and Extreme Sports Federation Huseyn Bagirov left Azerbaijan on August 11. The expedition took Azerbaijani flag, pennants written “I am proud of being an Azerbaijani” and “Azerbaijan, forward with Ilham toward new peaks” to 5895m Uhuru Peak.
