Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. Environment Protection Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources inspected a café in Pirsaat district of the Hajigabul region of Azerbaijan and found out illegal zoo-park there. The department official Karim Salimov told APA that they found Red Data Book birds, including swan, pelican, eagle and animals in the illegal zoo-park. The birds were handed over to the rehabilitation center of the Altiagaj National Park.
The department will continue the raids.
According to the article 73 of the Azerbaijan’s Administrative Code, physical entities are fined 200-500 AZN, officials – 2000-7500 AZN and legal entities – 2000-7500 AZN for hunting of Red Data Book birds.
