One of swine flu-infected Azerbaijanis is underage

Deputy director of the Republic Anti Plague Station Shair Gurbanov told APA that one of the patients – a woman aged 40 had been taken to Scientific-Research Pulmonology Institute.

The other patient – 15-year-old person was taken to Children Infectious Hospital. Gurbanov said their names could not be publicized.
“Both of them live in Baku. We examined the children of the infected woman. They are healthy. The persons, who came together with the 15-year-old patient, are also healthy. We examined their family members. The examination finished at 4 tonight,” he said.

Gurbanov said the patients felt normal.
“They will probably be discharged from hospital in a few days,” he said.

The first A/H1N1 virus (swine flu) has been recorded in Azerbaijan. Health Ministry’s press service told APA that residents of Baku and Gandja, who returned from France on July 27 and from England on July 29 were tested positive for the flu. Their health state is satisfactory, they are being treated.

Prophylactic measures are being taken among those who contacted them.
