Baku. Ulker Gasimova – APA. A harmonic acoustic version of Azerbaijan’s 2011 Eurovision Song Contest entry “Running Scared” has been released along with a club remix version by world renowned international hit DJ Ingo Martens and Azzido Da Bass, Azerbaijan’s press secretary for the contest and employee of the Ukraine’s “Euromedia” company Konstantin Khudov told APA. The acoustic version was recorded with a special accompaniment from Dmitry Chetvergov, a famous guitarist and music producer. Having noticed great potential in Running Scared for unplugged version he created a warm acoustic arrangement that reminds the mood of the best examples within the style: Yesterday by The Beatles, More Than Words by Extreme, and Belladonna by U.F.O. Our representative Nigar Jamal said about recording the acoustic version: “It was so much fun to create the acoustic version. This is simply music at its best, with no added production, no computer technology, no editing. This is just us and our song. It’s from the heart, personal and it was a joy to do”.

Talking about Azerbaijan’s Eurovision Song Contest entry, Azzido Da Bass says: “Eldar & Nigar have done a great song and I liked it right away. I wanted to keep most of the parts of the great original song and therefore produced a big pop driven club mix. I wish them all the best with Running Scared and hope that they win the Eurovision Song Contest. The song is a real hit”.

For more than a decade Ingo Martens has been world leader in electronic music. His first single‚ Dooms Night, was released in 1999 and entered the UK Top Ten with a re-release in 2000.

It is possible to watch both versions of “Running Scared” via b-roll.
