Alexander Ribak: To be the winner of “Eurovision†song contest the nominee must be self-confident†- PHOTOSESSION
Baku. Ulker Qasimova – APA. “In order to win the Eurovision song contest you have to be very self-confident. There is no other way. Every nominee, be it male or female, must clearly understand the essence of his or her participation in the contest. Doing so, he or she will probable be successful. If the nominee realizes it before the contest he or she will be close to the victory, in another case will failâ€, the winner of the “Eurovision-2009â€, Alexander Ribak who was attending the semifinal concert in Buta Palace, told in his interview to APA.
He also spoke about his song “Fairytaleâ€, which brought a colossal success to him and to his country. He said he always believed in fairytales: “My fairytale began when I was born to this world. Telling the truth, it’s wonderful to believe in fairytales and it gives people strength.†Pointing out the positive energy given derived from the people of Azerbaijan, Alexander Ribak said he and his team loved our country: “I got positive energy from the people of Azerbaijan. Though you are very emotional, you still seem very tolerant and this makes me feel better and relaxed. Both the participants and artists here left amazing impressions on me. If Azerbaijan shows itself as it was in “Eurovision-2009†we will probably love you very much.†Noting the great support from Azerbaijani people, Ribak mentioned that even today he still continues to accept a lot of letters from them: “I’m grateful to the people of Azerbaijan for their continuous support. It’s my first visit to Azerbaijan, but I’ve always felt this country’s support with me. And today, I continue to accept letters of congratulations from Azerbaijanis on facebook website and it gives me great pleasureâ€.
A.Ribak also noted the ingoing works related to the 55th “Eurovision†song contest to be held in Oslo city of Norway: “Though Norway is not poor, but it’s a little country. Therefore, we mobilized all our attempts to conduct a high level “Eurovision-2010†song contest. I’ll always miss those feelings of winning “Eurovisionâ€, these feelings of victory were amazingâ€.
Speaking to the media about his activity after the song contest, he told that he was currently working with a new team: “In our team we have three girls, me and a boy. I’m playing violin in this team. I don’t need them to be professionals, I’m very glad that they think as I think and they are addicted to creating interesting performances. So, that’s the key point.â€
