“I think this award ceremony in Abu Dhabi is symbolic, because the final stage of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan took place here last July, just one month before the historic summit in Washington," President Ilham Aliyev said during the awarding ceremony of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity in Abu Dhabi, APA's correspondent dispatched to Abu Dhabi reports.
“Thus, here in Abu Dhabi, with the support of our brother Sheikh Mohamed, we reached a final agreement to establish peace and then formalized it in Washington. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who decided to present us with this respected and prestigious award, and to everyone who helped us achieve peace,” the head of state said.
