“Gasoline and diesel fuel sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia are a very important contribution to Armenia's energy security,” President Ilham Aliyev said at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, APA's correspondent dispatched to Berlin reports.
The head of state said that the shipment of transit cargoes to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan has also expanded significantly.
“We are living through a very historic period. Azerbaijan offered peace to Armenia and received a positive response. We highly appreciate the role of the German government in this regard. To date, more than 40,000 tonnes of transit cargo have passed through the territory of Azerbaijan and been sent to Armenia,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
