US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday the White House will appoint a new artificial intelligence adviser, whom he dubbed the "superintelligence czar," within the next three or four days, APA reports.
Trump made the announcement after meeting with some of the world's leading technology executives, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
Trump also endorsed greater self-regulation by the AI industry, as his administration weighs how to oversee the rapidly expanding technology. The summit came after OpenAI and Anthropic executives called for slowing AI development, warnings Trump dismissed as a "hoax."
