“Today, there is excellent political dialogue between Slovakia and Azerbaijan,” Slovakia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Elchin Gasimov said at a reception in Baku marking Constitution Day and Armed Forces Day of the Slovak Republic, APA reports.
He said this has also been clearly demonstrated by recent high-level official visits: “These reciprocal visits at the highest level confirm the strength of our relations and our mutual interest in further developing and strengthening our ties.
Our partnership is built on pragmatism and mutual respect. There is a genuine strategic partnership between Slovakia and Azerbaijan. Our relations are not merely formal diplomatic ties. We are friendly nations that stand by each other, and we strive to translate our excellent relations into concrete projects and practical cooperation.”
The ambassador noted that Slovakia considers Azerbaijan one of the key countries in the region and an important guarantor of stability and development.
