President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, sent a letter of condolences to Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China over the tragic loss of lives caused by the earthquake in the Xizang region of China, APA reports.
The letter reads:
"Dear Mr. President,
We were deeply saddened by the news of the numerous casualties and destructions caused by the devastating earthquake in the city of Xigaze of Xizang Autonomous Region.
In light of this tragedy, on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the families and loved ones of the deceased, and the friendly people of China. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured and hope that the consequences of this natural disaster will be swiftly addressed."
