Traffic has been restored on streets forming part of the Baku City Circuit following the 2026 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the Baku City Circuit told APA.
Immediately after the main race ended, dismantling work began on circuit infrastructure and the grandstands around Azneft Square, allowing central streets to reopen to traffic.
Restrictions imposed on several streets along the race route ended at midnight on September 27.
From 12:30 p.m., traffic was fully restored, except for the section between the intersection of Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Pushkin streets and the intersection of Zarifa Aliyeva and Pushkin streets.
During the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix week, additional measures were introduced to facilitate traffic in central Baku. Transit corridors along several key routes remained open during morning and evening hours.
In 2026, traffic arrangements were further expanded. For the first time, a new transit corridor was established from the intersection of Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Pushkin streets towards Bulbul Avenue.
