New names will be assigned to avenues, streets, squares, relevant territorial units, and metro stations in major cities in connection with the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, this is reflected in the "Action Plan on the Declaration of 2025 as the 'Year of Constitution and Sovereignty' in the Republic of Azerbaijan," approved by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
According to the Order, throughout the year, new names should be assigned to unnamed peaks, as well as avenues, streets, squares, relevant territorial units, and metro stations in Baku and other major cities in connection with the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty."
For this purpose, the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Geodesy and Cartography Agency, local executive authorities, the special representatives of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the authorized representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Milli Majlis have been recommended to take action.
