President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved the law on diplomatic service, APA reports.
The new law "On Diplomatic Service" defines the principles of diplomatic service, the directions of activity of diplomatic service bodies, the main duties and rights of diplomatic service employees, the restrictions applicable to them, measures to encourage employees, the procedure for disciplinary action, a new classification of positions in diplomatic service bodies, the procedure for rotation of employees, new circumstances that require their recall, the procedure for the disposition and removal of a diplomatic service employee from the performance of official duties, the procedure for calculating the length of diplomatic service and the age limit for serving in the diplomatic service.
