A regulation is being established for determining the minimum price for the retail sale of alcoholic beverages, this is reflected in the new Article 29-1 added to the "Consumer Rights Protection Law," enacted through a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
According to the law, the minimum price for the retail sale of alcoholic beverages will be determined by an authority designated by the relevant executive power body. The procedure for determining the minimum price for alcoholic beverages sold in retail will also be approved by the authority identified by the relevant executive power body. It will be prohibited to sell alcoholic beverages at a price lower than the established minimum retail price.
