President Ilham Aliyev: "Creation of conditions for free mass media is one of the main directions of the state policy "

APA reports that chief of socio-political department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov read the letter in the congress.

Greeting the participants, the Head of State congratulated them on the congress. He noted that creation of conditions for free mass media is one of the main directions of the state policy in ensuring political pluralism:

“Today, growing opportunities of our country create conditions for the implementation of complex measures to develop mass media, including national press. The main purpose of the state support for mass media is the formation of independent, professional, competitive media resources observing principles of the national consciousness and patriotism. In the modern era, as the impact of the global information space on international public opinion is strengthening, our press should protect the interests of the Azerbaijani people, contribute to the progress of society, strengthening of the state influence. I hope that decisions to be made in the Congress will create conditions for Azerbaijani journalism to continue its mission at a higher level in the country and abroad and have positive impact on the development of the national press.”
