Zarghami said the new channel will mainly cover cooperation and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Iran.
“The Azerbaijani-language channel will broadcast local TV series, cartoons, documentary films, as well as Azerbaijani-made films, contributing to the development of the Azerbaijani language in Iran and bilateral cultural ties,” he said.
According to him, Iran intends to use the opportunity of satellite “Azerspace-1”.
“During the visit, we held trade talks in this regard. Iran plans to broadcast 12 television and radio networks via a transponder of satellite “Azerspace-1”, he said.
Zarghami also added that an agreement was reached on the establishment of a joint broadcasting commission.
