APA reports that Electronic Security Center, High-Tech Park, Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union, R.I.S.K and “Delta Telecom” companies also supported the contest.
Delivering a speech, Deputy Minister of Communication and High Technologies Elmir Valizadeh said that the contest aims at developing information security, increasing workforce capacity in this sphere. He said that about 100 teams participated in this contest: “Participants tested their knowledge and experiences in programming, web security, network security, cryptography, and so on. 5 teams could include in the list of winners. ICT is widespread in the society, thus every one should be able to use these technologies. This contest serves increasing the interest of young people in ICT, improving their knowledge and teaching them how to use their ICT knowledge within a team.”
The winners of the contest were named. Employees of APA Holding’s ICT department won the first place. The team of Department Director Arif Shamistanli, Ramal Hajataliyev and Emil Guliyev won the contest.
