Baku – APA. President of APA Holding Vusala Mahirqizi has today met with Chief Executive Officer of Italian AGI information Gianni Di Giovanni, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 4th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
Mr Gianni Di Giovanni said AGI is the information agency which has the greatest and broadest network in Italy, adding that AGI, which has been operating for 60 years, has offices in more than 50 countries. The CEO said the agency is also about to be specialized in the telecommunication area. Noting the agency he represents seeks to cooperate with APA information agency, Mr Gianni said possible forms of cooperation are expected to be discussed.
In her turn, Vusala Mahirqizi gave the guest detailed information about APA information agency and other media structures under the Holding. Speaking about the agency’s working principles, activities, and coverage, Mahirqizi said APA already has an experience of cooperation with the world’s leading information agencies, adding that she is ready to discuss models of cooperation between APA and AGI using this experience.
During the meeting, the sides held discussions about the working principles of the agencies they lead and new projects that are being implemented. At the end of the meeting, the sides decided to develop a draft memorandum on cooperation between APA and AGI. After being ready, the draft will be put up for discussion at APA Holding’s Board of Directors and the AGI administration and will be signed after the final version is developed.
