The new newsstands have regulated the distribution of printed media,” head of political and public affairs department at the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov told APA.
According to him, the main requirement of media outlets is the organization of the sale of newspapers in Baku: “The newsstands in Baku are meeting this requirement.”
The Presidential Administration official said that he had recently discussed this issue with Mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalibov: “During the conversation it became clear that the new newsstands are being placed in the capital and this process will be continued in the future. Therefore, it would be unfair to talk about the problems of printed media distribution in this city where there is a civilized printed media distribution and a number of newsstands. If the question is about the distribution of newspapers at the entrance of metro stations and through other methods, which do not meet the norms of the civilized city, of course, we expediently refused it so that our city complies with the international standards. We want to form the most civilized system for distribution of printed media in Baku.”
